“I am old, Gandalf. I don’t look it, but I am beginning to feel it in my heart of hearts. Well-preserved indeed! Why, I feel all thin, sort of stretched, if you know what I mean: like butter that has been scraped over too much bread. That can’t be right. I need a change, or something.”
– J.R.R. Tolkien
What have you been pondering?
You got me thinking about “The (unconditional) Beauty of Others” Something very interesting to ponder that I’ve never thought of. I will ponder this for awhile.
I have been pondering the Shared Life/Private Life boundary idea lately. If I spend too much time socializing, I can’t accomplish any goals, read any books, or do things I enjoy doing b myself. If I spend too much time by myself, I feel withdrawn, and neighbors and friends probably think I’m weird or ignoring them. Only so much time in each week, so a tricky balance.
