A pet chicken – that's actually interactive – is pretty cool! My brother and I had pet rats when I was in junior high. But they didn't wait for us except for food.
Had a pet chicken as a kid…an Easter baby chick who grew up to follow me around. He/she would be waiting for me at our property edge when I came home from school.
