BAD DOGS? I usually go around saying that there are no bad dogs, only bad owners, that all dogs are inherently good. Even pit bulls can be loving, loyal family pets, good with children — the most highly decorated service dogs in WWII. Then I read something like this, in which a Rottweiler kills a toddler, and I wonder. Are some dog breeds inherently dangerous? Are some towns right that certain breeds should be banned? I’ve always been against it, thought it was reactionary and ignorant. But it merits

Discussion.

SUFFER THE CHILDREN I’ve seen a lot of interviews and press conferences coming from the war with Iraq lately. a lot of arrogant, fanatical and stupid men have been appearing on my TV. I wish that the reporters would interview some children. Their perspective on the war seems more relevant. And what about the animals? I don’t even know if people in Iraq keep pets the way we do here. I’m sure some people do. When the coalition and related charities ship in humanitarian supplies, do they include pet food? Veterinary medicines? Bet they don’t.

OH BLOG ME Well, I tried and tried to upload my new blog to a subdirectory on my Web site. After a while, I got frustrated, then a little nauseous, then I gave up. I can think of a few world leaders that would do well to learn from my example. Just say So It Goes and go make some tea.
