crosses for peace

“As the city of Napa increasingly begins to resemble a cemetery, organizers of a silent anti-war protest are getting their point across.” Vallejo Times Herald:

  1. Sorry, but due to protracted, underfunded, illegal conflicts, the US does not presently have the resources for a respectable revolution. We went to war with the army we had and it hasn't come back yet. We can't afford it either. … But seriously, I think we should put more pressure on Congress to impeach. Maybe Nancy Pelosi should be recalled, for failing in her constitutional duty in that regard.

  2. This evening at rush hour a few of us spanned the San Ysidro Road bridge over the 101 with huge signs of "Impeach" and "Out of Iraq Now!" We tallied the ratio of favorable honks and gestures of drivers to unfavorable (mostly single-finger) gestures, and got to 33-to-1 before we stopped. And yet no articles of impeachment have been proffered against Bush/Cheney, and the war grinds on. Is it time for a revolution?
