Oh no, the torture in that movie was real. It's been 25 years since I first saw it, and there are still passages of Beethoven symphonies that I can't hear without flashbacks.
Matbe the torture methods should be used constructively — like in "A Clockwork Orange." Oh yeah, that's fiction just like the "effectiveness" of torture techniques.
